Sway Privacy Promise

Sway privacy promise

Last updated: 21 August 2026.

Sway is designed to work without an account and without collecting your browsing history.

Information we collect

Sway does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal information, browsing activity, page content, form entries or authentication information.

Settings stored on your device

Your on/off choice and selected hanging corner are stored using Chrome’s local extension storage. These settings stay within your browser profile and are used only to remember your choices.

Why Sway needs website access

Sway needs access to normal webpages so it can draw the hanging fidget over them and let you interact with it. The content script does not read, store or transmit page content, form entries or browsing history.

Chrome protects internal pages such as chrome://, the Chrome Web Store and some built-in viewers, so Sway cannot appear on those pages.

Remote code and third parties

Sway does not load remote code, advertising, analytics or third-party trackers. Its code, fonts and image assets are packaged inside the extension.

Google API Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
